The Story Behind The Brand

Hello, my name is Bendu Chowoe. God gave me a dream about selling t-shirts with scriptures on them in 2020. I woke up in doubt, and then fear. I didn’t think I was the right vessel. I felt unqualified, I didn’t know where to start from. I was also afraid of failing. However, I knew the message was from God because the dream stayed in my heart and it was constantly on my mind.

One Sunday, towards the end of the year, a sermon was given in church about discipleship, and for the first time, I listened to every word of that message. The words of the sermon flowed from the pastor’s lips and richly watered the seed within me. Months later, I asked God for direction, took a chance on that dream and started the process to launch the business. 

January 2021 I launched the first website. The products in the store weren't of high quality and they didn't embody the mission, I was discouraged. Around October 2021, I found out that I would be traveling overseas for work. That became my escape; I put a pause on the business and marketing. I told myself that I was out of business for the time being. However, before leaving home, I took a friend’s advice and created the LLC for the business, legally establishing it. 

Fast forward, September 7, 2022 by God's grace, I relaunched The Great Commission LLC. We are here to stay, in Jesus name! This website is the fruit harvested from the seed God sowed in me, first in my head as a dream and then in my heart as a mission. We are blessed you chose to shop with us today.
